Our Story
Ruby and Bam is more than just a business—it’s a family journey. Based in Nottingham, we are a pet-loving family with a deep appreciation for animals, nature, and wildlife. I’m Lucy, the artist behind Ruby and Bam, and I’ve been drawing and creating since I was young.
After many years of wanting my own dog I was lucky enough to get our lovely Chihuahua Ruby for my 32nd birthday. She is now 10 years old and a rather opinionated older lady.
Our newest addition is the cheeky Bam, a 12 week old Dachshund puppy. She is keeping us all on our toes!
Ruby and Bam became the inspiration for my shop, which now offers home decor, accessories, and gifts for fellow pet lovers. Along with my husband Alan and our two daughters, Daisy and Lottie, our home is filled with animals. In addition to Ruby and Bam, we also have two ponies, a cat, and two guinea pigs—so we truly understand the joy (and chaos!) that comes with loving pets.
What started as a personal hobby quickly became a family business. With the support of my family, I now create all of our products by hand, and each piece of art is made with love and care from my heart to yours.
