About Ruby and Bam
Hello! I’m Lucy – the illustrator and paint-splattered human behind Ruby and Bam.
Every quirky creation you see here starts life in my imagination (usually fuelled by too much coffee and 80s cartoons), then gets lovingly designed, laser cut, and hand-painted in my garden studio in the heart of Sawley. So many ideas pop into my head, basically all the joyful, weird and wonderful things that make life more fun.
I’ve been drawing and making things since I could hold a crayon – from doodling on school books to teaching art classes and now running my own colourful corner of the internet. I'm 42, still obsessed with animals, drawing and reading and have passed that on to my two kids. My husband can be blamed for passing on the gaming obsession! They all pitch in when I need extra hands (or snack testers) for stock taking tasks and events.
